For the past 22 years, Debbie Jones has called Green Pastures in Southport home. Originally from Wales, Debbie has held on to her beautiful accent, a reminder of her roots and heritage. But it’s not just her voice that stands out - it's her spirit.

Debbie’s life hasn’t always been easy. She’s faced many personal challenges and has walked through seasons of hardship. Yet despite it all, she radiates a contagious joy and warmth that lifts every room she walks into.

A devoted mother, Debbie has always made it a priority to support her son, who has additional needs. Her dedication has paid off - he’s now thriving at college and flourishing in his job. Debbie beams with pride when she talks about his journey and the progress he’s made.

In addition to her family responsibilities, Debbie juggles two jobs and still finds time to pour herself into serving her local church. Whether she’s greeting people at the door, helping count the offering, serving communion, cleaning up, or doing the washing up - Debbie is always all in. She’s often the last one to leave, making sure everything is in place and everyone feels seen and valued.

And her generosity doesn’t stop there. Every week, Debbie opens her home to host a small group of 12 people - a gathering that she describes as a “huge blessing” and a group she now considers family.

Debbie Jones is a quiet powerhouse of faith, dedication, and kindness. Her story is a reminder that even in the face of life’s challenges, joy, hope, and love can shine through. She’s not just part of the Green Pastures community - she’s one of its brightest lights.
