CEO Sleepout UK
Cheering you on Matt!

We’re so proud of our partner Matt Parfitt -Half the Story, who will be taking part in the Nottingham CEO Sleepout UK this month.
The event brings together leaders from across the region who are giving up one night’s comfort to raise awareness and support for people who don’t yet have a safe place to call home.
Half the Story is no ordinary bakery; it exists to create meaningful employment for people who’ve experienced homelessness, long-term unemployment, or other barriers to work. The bakery has recently doubled in size and now provides around 700 hours of Real Living Wage supported employment every month - offering not just jobs, but purpose, community, and dignity.
As Matt shared:
“Missing one night’s sleep is a tiny sacrifice if it helps raise funds and awareness about the issues that many of our team - and my friends - have faced.”
Through Half the Story and its sister social enterprises, Grace Enterprises is creating life-changing opportunities for people to rebuild confidence, skills, and belonging.
One employee summed it up beautifully:
“There are foodbanks and charities that do things for you… but this job enables you to do things for yourself.”
Every biscuit baked at Half the Story is a reminder that hope rises when people are given a chance to work, grow, and be part of something bigger.
At Green Pastures, we’re honoured to partner with organisations like Grace Enterprises who share our vision - ending homelessness not just through housing, but through restored identity, employment, and community.
We’re cheering you on, Matt - and everyone taking part in this year’s CEO Sleepout.
💚 Together, we’re helping people find their place, purpose, and future.
