Henry's Housing, Harlow
Overcoming challenges to a good future
The walls are filled with art—but the real masterpiece is what’s happening inside.
This week, we visited Henry’s Housing in Harlow, and what you find isn't just a place to live—it is a place to begin again.
Jon Pask started Henry’s Housing, named in memory of the very first man they helped off the streets: Henry. Today, the name stands for so much more. It’s a symbol of hope for every person still out there, waiting for a second chance.
The house itself was warm and welcoming. Paintings by Jon’s wife brought the space to life—each one a quiet reminder that care and beauty belong in every home, no matter someone’s past.
There, we met Naaram. After facing unimaginable challenges, he’s now preparing to move into a place of his own. Watching him speak about that future—his future—you could feel the shift. This is what community can do.
And this is just one home, one man, one story. In 2025, we’re working with Jon and his team to open more homes like this in Harlow. Because the need is growing—and so is our determination to meet it.
When we invest in people, we build more than housing.
We build belonging.
